Tuesday, September 20th
We apologize for not updating our blog in a while. We have been quite busy the last few months. So much has happened! We are now selling to many bars and restaurants in the Houston and Katy area. To help with all the new accounts we signed with Duff Distribution on Sept. 2nd. We are very excited about the partnership. Like us, they take extreme pride in the beers they sale and distribute. We are currently planning our next expansion which will include a bottling line and double or triple fermentation capacity. We hope to have all the equipment here and be bottling by end of March 2012.

We have been continuing our Saturday tastings from 1pm-3pm except for the 1st Saturday of the month. We have 2 bars open during the tasting to accommodate all the thirsty people that come out. We will always have a food vendor at our tastings so make sure to bring cash if you would like food. Outside food is allowed but absolutely NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL is allowed. This is strictly enforced. We are kid and dog friendly. No admittance after 2:30pm. Note: Our tasting is held outside so come prepared for whatever the weather is like that day.

We sell merchandise during the tastings as well. Shirts are $15, pint glasses are $7, koozies are $3 and dog bandanas are $5. We will have hats and sweatshirts in by the end of October. We will also have a special shirt for our fall seasonal beer - The Black Wit-O. Make sure to get yourself one of those when you are out in October!
We participated in the Brew masters Beer festival in Galveston, TX the 1st weekend of September. We debuted our Black Wit-O during the festival and had a wonderful response.

We will be participating in the Houston Wine Fest, the Texas Craft Brewers Festival in Austin on Sept 24th and the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO.
Coming soon! Black Wit-O will be release beginning of October. We are currently working on our winter seasonal- Panamanian Coffee Milk Stout and our Blonde Ale.

Saturday, February 5th is the Alamo Draft house -Mason locations 5th Anniversary. To celebrate, they are having a feast with beer paired with each course. No Label Brewing will have our Honey Wheat beer paired with one of the courses. The recipe for this beer was created by assistant brewer, John Anderson and has won awards in the past. Make sure to sign up for this event. Alamo Drafthouse will have several other amazing beers on the menu as well for you to try.

February 5th is a busy day! We also will be at the Texas Beer Festival get together located at the Ginger Man's from 7pm-11:30pm for the 3 month pre party. (It is a good thing there is 5 of us!) Well hello beer lovers! We are very excited about the year to come and bringing you good beer to drink! We recently had a special event at The Public House bar in Katy, TX where we tapped our American Amber Ale (Ridgeback). The event was great. A good time was had by all. We are still waiting on our 15 barrel system which should arrive end of January or early February. Our January 22nd tasting has been cancelled. We do apologize.

We will be sending our January Newsletter out in about a week. If you are interested in receiving this newsletter we send out every month please send us an email at info@nolabelbrew.com.

We would also like to recognize John Anderson, our assistant brewer. Without John, Brian would be one tired brewer. Thanks John for all you do!

Now for beer news. We are working on a "special brew" that will be on tap at one of the January tastings. We think it will be a unique beer that many people in Texas especially would enjoy....that's the only hint we will give you! We are continuing on with our 3 beers and will be building on our selection of beers in 2011. We are looking forward to brewing beer for you all to enjoy and really appreciate the support Katy and Houston has given us.
Cheers!

Summer begins!
June 5, 2010
We had a few snags with our building permit but should be receiving it next week. After receiving the building permit we will then be able to brew in our brewery (with our small equipment)! We installed a new AC unit in our office that we hope will allow the rest of the brewery to be slightly cooler during those hot July afternoons. Our TTB papers were received on May 5th and we were told the process of getting this permit could take up to 90 days..so hopefully by August we should have our TTB permit!

We've been brewing the last couple of weekends. We plan to brew almost every weekend throughout the summer. We have been keeping an eye on equipment to purchase for our brewery. Our goals for June will be to receive our building permit and will hopefully have a lovely sign out front. Oh....and a whole lot of brewing!

We were asked to speak at The Petrol Station bar last month. We had a nice group out there to support us and really appreciated the Petrol Station letting us come. They also had a great selection of microbrew on tap!

That is all for now....we will keep you updated on our Facebook and Twitter weekly!

Don't forget to support your local brewery,

~No Label Brewing ~

Whats brewing with us?
5/11/2010 - Things have been rolling along nicely! We have been putting in many hours at our warehouse/brewery and we a must say...it looks mighty fine! The inside of the brewery is all painted and cleaned at last. A portable No Label Brew bar was built with..... a Barbie doll as one of the tap handles?? Landscaping has been done to the outside and our new door and garage has been finished. We are hoping to have our building permit by the end of May. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

We will start aggressively searching for brewery equipment in the next few months. If you know of any, please let us know! We are interested in used or new equipment. We hope to purchase either a 10 or 15 barrel system.

We keep our Facebook and Twitter pages updated very often, so if you want to know what we are up to on a daily basis, check those out!

Our interview in the Ultimate Katy section of the Houston Chronicle will be in the paper this Sunday, May 16th !

We also were recently in the Katy Sun newspaper...check out the link below:

4/4/2010 - We moved one step closer to getting our Certificate of Occupancy this weekend. We did a little bit of landscaping, added parking lanes, painted our floor, installed fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and many more things. Needless to say it was a busy weekend. This week, we have a contractor renovating the front entrance. All thats left is a little bit of electrical and some temporary break tanks. We should have this all completed by the end of April.
We bottled our Ridgeback Ale and Pale Horse. Then we kegged our El Hefe and Silo Ale. Fermenting is another batch of the Ridgeback. Gearing up for the big tasting May 8th!

This week we will be in Chicago for the Craft Brewers Conference. Cant wait to try the deep dish pizza, Chicago dogsand the beer of course! While we are there we will be making contacts for our equipment and materials. The search begins for our equipment!

Also, the Chronicle (Ultimate Katy) and Channel 39 Houston did a story about us. Here are the links: www.ultimatekaty.com
and http://www.39online.com/news/local/kiah-katy-brewery-story,0,5875501.story

Check out our bi-weekly article on the LoopScoop. www.theloopscoop.com

That's all for now.

3/23/2010 - Our blog is up and running! We will try keep this updated on a weekly basis. Here is a little update:

We recently received our TABC permit…yeah! This was a big step. We got our building permit today to do some minor renovations to the front of the building. The renovations should be done be the end of next week. We hope to have our certificate of occupancy by end of April. Next step is look for equipment!

April 7-10, we are attending the Craft Brewers Conference in Chicago. We are hoping to learn a lot while we are there. Also, I have been writing an article for the LoopScoop. www.theloopscoop.com Check it out when you get a chance.

Become a friend of ours on Facebook (NL Brewing) or follow us on Twitter (NoLabelBrewingCo) to get updates about upcoming events and tastings.
